Volunteer with Enliven
Make a significant difference for elders in your community, every single day.
Volunteers are vital to our organisation. With the support of volunteers, Enliven is able to create elder-centred communities where residents have companionship, fun, meaningful activity and purpose in their lives. As a volunteer you can provide valuable help and support in many ways.
Provide guest entertainment
Support our recreation officers to run activities & outings
Provide 1-1 companionship to residents
Coordinate an interest or hobby group
Visit with your children or pets
Be a volunteer driver for rest home residents
Support the gardens & grounds team
Help out with events
Help out around the rest home
In addition the above roles, each Enliven Home offers unique and specific volunteer opportunities. This can include anything from coordinating a Bingo game to building a shed!
If you have special skills to offer, we’d love to know. Simply email us at or contact your nearest Enliven Home.
Why volunteer with Enliven?
Volunteering is a chance to give back to your community by sharing your skills and experiences to make a difference for others.
Each of our residents have their own amazing stories and knowledge to share. They have raised families, built careers, travelled the world and fought for our rights. This means that volunteering is also a unique opportunity to have a meaningful and beneficial experience.
Find your perfect volunteering opportunity.
It’s important that you find your time as a volunteer enjoyable and rewarding, so we’ll work with you to find opportunities that are suited to your skills and interests.
Give as little or as much time as you wish, on days and times that suit you. Some volunteer roles require an ongoing regular commitment, while others are more flexible. There are also one-off opportunities.
Register as a volunteer.
Before getting started as a volunteer, we ask that you complete a short application form.
This will include a character reference and police check – please don’t be offended, it’s all part of making sure we do everything we can to keep residents and elders we support in the community safe. Once your application is completed, one of our friendly team will be able to talk with you about available options and find a role that matches your interests and availability.
If you’d like to volunteer for Enliven Central, email us at or contact your nearest Enliven Home.
