Our story

Empowering people and communities for more than 100 years.

At Enliven, we value age. We support age-friendly communities where people can be happy and thrive, regardless of their age or ability. The principles of caring, enabling and supporting underpin all we do.

We pride ourselves on providing person-centred support. That’s more than just top quality clinical care and practical day support – we’ll design a package of support that helps you achieve the things that are important to you.

Our wide range of flexible support options for older people means as your needs change, so too can the support we provide.

Enliven is 100% New Zealand made, owned and operated.

Supporting NZ elders for over 70 years.

Enliven Central offers a range of positive ageing services across the lower North Island, including eight retirement villages and fourteen care homes.

Our first care home opened in Wellington’s Island Bay in 1951, and we’ve since grown to be one of New Zealand’s most trusted provider of aged care and retirement villages.

Today, we have homes and villages in Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu, Horowhenua, Wellington and Wairarapa, and provide health support services and advice across New Zealand.

Enliven is part of the not-for-profit organisation Presbyterian Support Central (PSC) which has supported people and communities, particularly those in need, since 1909.

We are, along with six other regional Presbyterian Support organisations, one of New Zealand’s largest health and social service providers.
