Enliven offers a full range of positive ageing services – which means as your needs change, so can the support we provide.

Independent retirement living

Enliven’s villages provide independent retirement living for people who can live safely and comfortably in their own homes, but are looking for additional security and companionship.

Enliven provides two types of independent retirement living – we have villas and apartments for sale under a licence to occupy arrangement and low cost rental units for over 65s.

Aged residential care

Enliven offers three types of aged residential care at our rest homes.

Rest home care.

Long-term residential care for elders who can do some daily tasks, but struggle to live independently safely in their own home.

Enliven's Residential care

Hospital care.

Hospital care is provided for older people with high clinical needs, complex medical conditions and/or those who need support to do simple daily tasks.

Dementia care.

Dementia care refers to secure dementia cottages within Enliven homes which have been specially designed for elders experiencing advanced dementia which may result in being easily confused, disoriented or lost.

Short-term care

We also offer short-stay options for people living in their own homes or with family.

Day programmes.

Also known as day support, are activity and companionship programmes for older people living in their own homes or with family. For family carers day programmes provide a chance to take a break. It’s also a great opportunity for older people living alone to enjoy quality social interactions.

Enliven day programmes

Respite care.

Respite provides elders living with family carers with short-term rest home or dementia care. Family carers get a chance to take a break and recharge their batteries, while their loved one enjoys a holiday at an Enliven home.

About respite and recovery care

Health recovery care.

Also known as convalescent care, health recovery provides older people with short-term hospital-level care. This service is perfect for people recovering from illness, injury or surgery.

Enliven Connect.

Enliven Connect is a buddy programme designed to help people with early-stage dementia stay engaged in community life, in the Lower Hutt, Wainuiomata and Stokes Valley region.

Health support services

Enliven provides a range of health support services designed to support older people living in the community.

Modified Tai Chi classes.

These classes are designed to improve attendees mobility and balance, as well as lessen stress and anxiety.

Continence service.

We can provide advice around managing incontinence and which products may be suitable for your individual needs. Continence products are delivered to your door in plain packaging.
