Why choose an Enliven village

"The staff looking after the village are really friendly and helpful. There is a very positive feeling about the place."
"Lovely, helpful staff. I enjoy contributing to the activities available as well as following my own passions outside of the village."
"Living here removes many stresses. It's been a perfect decision for us."
"Brilliant community vibe - great coordinators and a nice, friendly place to live in."
"The big difference, compared to the other villages we looked at, was the size. Space was a big factor for us, and this one here has got it. We had a huge hedge as well, which we had to trim and cut so it’s good not having to do any of that here."

Understanding the Retirement Village Purchase Process

Moving into a retirement village is an exciting new chapter - but terms like Occupation Right Agreement (ORA), Licence to Occupy (LTO) and Outgoing Charges can sometimes make the process feel more complicated than it really is.

At Enliven, we aim to make the retirement village purchase process simple, transparent and supportive. Click below to find out more about the process.

A homely home

At our Enliven retirement villages, we believe home should feel warm, familiar and truly your own. A move into village living doesn’t mean giving up comfort or personality – it’s about creating a space that reflects you. From treasured furniture to family photos and favourite keepsakes, residents are encouraged to make their villa or apartment feel just like home.

Our villages are thoughtfully designed to balance independence with peace of mind. Light-filled spaces, easy-care living and welcoming communal areas all contribute to a relaxed, homely atmosphere. It’s a place where you can enjoy quiet moments in your own space, while knowing community and support are close by if needed.

At Enliven Central, we’re committed to creating homes – not just houses – where people feel safe, comfortable and truly at ease.

Whānau & community

At our Enliven retirement villages, we believe whānau and community are at the heart of a good life. Staying connected to the people who matter most doesn’t stop when you move – in fact, it often grows stronger. Our villages are welcoming spaces where family and friends are always encouraged to visit, share meals, celebrate milestones and simply spend time together.

We also foster a strong sense of community within each village. Neighbours look out for one another, friendships form naturally, and shared activities create opportunities to connect. It’s about more than just a place to live – it’s about belonging.

At Enliven Central, we’re proud to create communities where residents, whānau and the wider neighbourhood feel welcome, valued and connected.

Pets are welcome

At Enliven retirement villages, we know pets aren’t just animals – they’re family. They’ve shared in life’s milestones, offered comfort in difficult seasons, and brought daily joy through companionship and routine. That’s why many of our Enliven communities welcome pets, understanding the important role they play in wellbeing, connection and a sense of home.

Moving into a retirement village is a big step, and being able to bring a beloved companion can make that transition feel far more reassuring. Pets provide comfort, reduce loneliness and encourage gentle daily activity – whether that’s a walk around the village or a chat with neighbours who stop to say hello. They often become part of the wider community too, sparking conversations and friendships.

At Enliven Central, we take a thoughtful and practical approach to ensure pets can be safely and happily accommodated within our villages. Each community has its own guidelines, designed to balance individual preferences with the wellbeing of all residents.

If you’re considering village living and can’t imagine life without your furry friend, talk to us. We’d love to have a conversation about how we can help you – and your pet – feel right at home.
