Enliven Day Programmes

What are Day Programmes?

Enliven Day Programmes give older people the chance to get out, connect with others, and take part in meaningful activities in a safe, supportive setting. For many, it’s a way to maintain independence and build friendships, while whānau and carers enjoy valuable respite knowing their loved one is well cared for.

Support for Whānau

Caring for an older family member can be rewarding but demanding. Day programmes provide regular, reliable breaks so you can rest, work or take time for yourself, with peace of mind that your loved one is enjoying companionship and professional support.

"If you're caring for someone and would like them looked after while you have time out, I can assure you your loved one will be very well cared for here”.
"I love coming to Woburn’s Day Support Programme. The staff are friendly and invite you to do things like knitting, play word games, socialise with Bingo or bowls, that you might never have had the time or confidence to do. I love coming”.
"One of the best things is you get to choose what you'd like to do. Activities include every type of game you could imagine: music, gentle exercise, and social outings."
“Family caregivers are under immense pressure, often with little opportunity for respite. At the same time, people living with dementia can become very isolated. Day programmes offer companionship for participants, while giving whānau the peace of mind that their loved one is supported.”
"I look forward to coming to the Woburn Day Programme, it gives me a sense of family. At home, I’m isolated and lonely. Here, I do things, dress up and have fun.”
