What is hospital-level care?

Hospital-level care is the next step when older people’s needs become more complex - whether that’s medical, mobility or disability-related. At Enliven Central we provide full-time, 24-hour nursing support so residents and their whānau have peace of mind knowing every need is attended to.

Who it’s for & what’s included

Hospital-level care is available to residents with more complex medical or mobility needs, or disability, who require the support of a registered nurse around the clock.

We can assist with all aspects of personal care, from medication management and pain relief to emotional support and rehabilitation of mobility or health condition

Our homes and facilities

Many of our homes provide hospital-level beds within a warm, residential environment rather than a clinical setting. For example, our homes listed as providing rest-home and hospital care ensure continuity of support as needs evolve.

Rooms are designed to accommodate higher-level care needs, and our staff are supported by doctors, therapists and specialist services to ensure every resident receives the best possible care.

Transition, recovery & long-term stays

Whether a resident needs short-term support (for example following illness or surgery), or long-term full-time care, we offer both options depending on need. Short-term ‘step-up’ care gives you time to recover with nursing support; long-term care is for those whose support needs remain high.
