Clients at Enliven’s Kapiti Day Programme have been enjoying some new board games, thanks to a donation from the local Lions Club.
The 11-year-old started volunteering at the home in July as part of the William Pike Challenge – which requires students to do 20 hours’ community work.
Staff at Kandahar Court use an holistic approach to ensuring all residents who have dementia feel safe, comfortable and enjoy where they live.
Residents at Enliven’s Coombrae Home in Feilding took part in the Formal Friday movement recently, dressing up to the nines for lunch.
Masterton dementia care facility, Kandahar Court, is full of music, singing and smiles on a Tuesday afternoon as the residents participate in a regular music therapy session.
Enliven health care assistants are encouraged to learn and develop, which brings a sense of satisfaction and a deeper understanding of their role.
